Last month we looked at skin care products. What did you think about it? I have become more aware of chemical substances. We should all be aware of the components of our skin care products. This month I will continue to look at cosmetics, specifically lipsticks. What are lipsticks made of?Normally they contain more than 20 components, such as oil content, surface-active agent, antioxidant, and fragrant. One lipstick I looked at for instance, which blocks ultraviolet radiation, contains: liquid lanolin (oil content), tocopherol acetate (antioxidant), dibuty hydorixytoluene (antioxidant), oxybenzine (UV light absorbent), Red No.201 (synthetic color), Red No.202 (synthetic color), Red No.218 (synthetic color) and fragrant. You may want to check what yours contain. Synthetic color, suspected cause of cancerThere are 83 types of synthetic colour labeled by color and number. Many of them are thought to cause cancer. Azo dyes are suspected of causing Riehl, while xanthene dye may produce strong poison when exposed to daylight. You should take care of your lips since they are a type of membrane. Unlike skin, lips do not have hair glands and do not produce sebum, which prevent extraneous substances from entering the body. People also unconsciously lick their lipstick and take it into their body when they eat. You should definitely avoid using tar, suspected of causing cancer, and start choosing lipsticks made of safe and natural coloring matters, such as Safflower, Lithospermi radix, Carrot, Colcothar, Titanium oxide, Kaolin, Carmine and Gardenia. Try not to choose a smooth one but a hard one. These may become too hard in the cold and melt in the heat or easily break apart. They may seem inconvenient, but at least they are safe. If you have sensitive lips, I recommend using lip cream before applying lipstick. And for lip gross, you can use olive oil. Health and beautyIn the past, we used to make lipsticks from plants called Safflower, which is not only harmless to the human body but also beneficial to our circulation system. By using lipsticks we could prevent ourselves form woman's diseases like a cold constitution. We used to know how to maintain both health and beauty at the same time. For the last 40-50 years we have been increasingly using chemicals instead of natural substances, failing to consider our health, which has brought about current health problems, such as allergies. It is high time we became aware of what jeopardizes your health and started appreciating conventional skin care products, which provide you with both health and beauty.
